The PE Health Check explores your school’s curriculum intent, implementation, and impact in Physical Education as well as PESSPA as a whole using the DfE’s primary PE indicators. These include staff CPD, fostering competition, increasing physical activity levels, enhancing the visibility of PESSPA and providing a broad range of activities. This holistic evaluation is designed to ensure as a school you can strategically enhance your provision to achieve the quality of PESSPA needed for children to lead healthy lives.

Throughout the review process, we work in collaboration with you to foster deep reflection and shine a light on best practices, supporting your school's journey towards excellence in PE. Conducted entirely online, this evaluation is both time-efficient, requiring no more than 45 minutes and insightful, offering substantial feedback for improvement.

Following the completion of the health check, you will receive a detailed report. This document not only celebrates your strengths but also outlines clear, actionable recommendations for elevating your PE provision. Alongside this report, we provide a collection of targeted resources to aid in the effective implementation of your improvement plan, equipping you with all you need to enhance your school's PESSPA offerings.
